Sweet Sixteen!

Nostaglic...daddy's little girl!

So I was watching my favorite web channel (YouTube) and I was surfing videos trying to keep up with the latest and greatest artist. I can't lose touch of what is going on in my (soon to be 14 year old) son's world! So I ran across Nicki Minaj's video "Your Love", which samples the music from Annie Lennox "No more I love you." I lasked my husband to listen to it, to see if he remembered the song and of course he didn't, LOL! Anyway when my son listened to the song, he was astounded at how they had changed so many aspects of the song and yet it was still the same.

Annie Lennox... WOW! That song took me back to being a five year old little girl in San Francisco California, the Golden Gate Bridge, flying kites, the ice cream man, Culture Club and Boy George! Those were the days, back when it was all so fun and innocent... the music (at that time) was so light and airy!

Hot pinks, electric blues, shoulder pads, fog on the bay, mohawks, the original punk rockers, a summer breeze and Sherman Elementary School! My family and I had just moved back to the United States from Athens Greece and would leave in four years going to Germany for the second time.

When I was listening to the song I was transformed back to that little girl who knew nothing of paying bills, everyday struggles, murder or any kind of world hunger. For the three to five minutes that Annie Lennox was singing I was innocent again... for that short time I was my daddy's little girl, riding on his shoulders... eating ice cream in San Francisco! Life was GREAT!

Sweet Sixteen!

Okay, so your teenager is a fan of MTV's Sweet Sixteen...okay, so am I...but that is beside the point!! SMiles;) From the time they enter highschool or even before all they talk about is their sixtenth birthday and a "NEW" car... not just a car, but a new car! They want two hundred of their closest friends ( I don't even know two hundred people) a big name events planner, a designer three change wardrobe, a cake that makes a wedding cake look like a cupcake and a some recording artist!

If you can actually afford this affair you are looking at paying more than some pay for their homes. I was lucky enough to be hired to photograph a Sweet Sixteen Party (to rival an celebrities child) in none other than "The Big Easy!" Hello Kitty, Pink and Black tutus, a DJ, hotel suites, a makeup artist, a hair stylist, limos and a private club shut down to host this extravaganza! Sweet Sixteen...yeah, it was sweet!

For His Eyes Only!

So ladies, Christmas is coming up and then Valentines Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries so on and so forth! As a woman we are so perceptive and pay attention to detail to the extent that we always buy the best presents. However after years and years, even if you continue to get the "perfect" gift and I am sure you will, how about trying something new and exciting? How about having some sexy (tastefully done) photos done for your significant other to cherish forever?

Get glammed up with hair and makeup, different lingerie or his favorite outfit. Spice it up and have a prewedding lingerie photo shoot and privately present the album to your new husband as a wedding gift after you say I Do!

Whatever the occasion, boudoir photo sessions are a lot of fun! The great thing is, you can be comfortable being photographed by a female photographer

Alright Gentlemen so you have no idea what to do for Valentines Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Popping the Question or JUST BECAUSE!

 Introducing Table for Two!

Table for Two takes out all the guess work and creates the illusion that you spent the entire day slaving away, running from here to there making sure that this day is PERFECT! Go play golf or have a drink with the boys because just a phone call or email away is the answer to your prayers and her fantasy come true. We will come to you and set up everything that you need and some extras!

Imagine escorting your lady into a room with a perfectly set table of the finest linens and china. Crystal champagne flutes or wine glasses, silverware so finely polished that you can see your reflection, a BEA-U-TIFUL floral arrangement, flower petals and candles. Faintly playing in the background is a CD especially created for you, playing some of your old favorites and some that are guaranteed to become you new favorites. You can send your list of songs or you can supply me with a genre and I will do the rest. The CD comes with a label of the date and your and your Sweetie's names! All of this and you never had to leave the comfort of your home, no long lines and no reservations! All you have to do is supply your favorite takeout and the rest is done for you!
HINT* Throw away the takeout boxes, you want to get credit for all of this! ;)

Upcoming Wedding Photography

After being asked to take their engagemnet pictures, I am pleased to announce that I have been chosen to photograph the wedding of Ms Lenika Jackson and Mr Jeff Hector both of Athens Georgia, home of the Georgia Bulldogs! They were kind enough to allow me to showcase some of their engagement and wedding photos, to be taken on August 7, 2010.

I feel both honored and priveledged to not only have the honor of attending, but photographing all the details surrounding the days that will lead up to their nuptuals. All the special details of old, new, borrowed and blue will be captured on camera to be held in the hearts of family and friends forever!

When two hearts become one is one of the most magical of moments. The intimacy of a kiss and the glimmer in the eyes of the intended is one that can not be duplicated, but can be caught and frozen in time. Photography is a way to take a single moment and relive it over and over again. After the last piece of cake is eaten, the last song has played and the mother of the bride has cried her last tear...once we have forgotten it all, the camera remembers!

I want to thank (the future) Mr and Mrs Jeff Hector in advance for this honor and to say a special congratulations, may your love envelope one another always!
